RIP BRENDON GLENN (July 24, 1985 – May 6, 2015)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 12:16 a.m.

The decedent was an unarmed man working as a bouncer at a bar in Venice when he was shot by LAPD officer Clifford Proctor.

L.A. police chief Charlie Beck called for charges to be filed against Proctor in January 2016, the first time Beck had recommended prosecuting one of his officers for an on-duty shooting death.

L.A. County district attorney Jackie Lacey declined to prosecute.

Glenn’s family received a $4 million legal settlement in December 2016 from the city over his death.

UPDATE: In October 2025, Proctor was arrested on a felony warrant for the murder.
