(L.A.) Brandon Villareal, 21, Died in Long Beach

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 21-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the young man as Brandon Villareal.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of the Torso

RIP BRANDON VILLAREAL (May 9, 2003 – April 12, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 6:15 p.m.

The decedent was fatally shot in downtown Long Beach near the area where the Acura Grand Prix IndyCar Series race was taking place.

Long Beach Police Department stated that the shooting happened just before 6 p.m. Saturday near Cedar Walk, close to the shoreline.
