(L.A.) Beverly Cassese, 65, Died in the Desert

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 65-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred in the desert.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Beverly Cassese.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Head

The decedent was one of three victims shot dead in a vacant lot in the unincorporated area of Los Angeles, south of Lancaster.

LASD deputies responded at around 4:48 p.m. to 215th Street East and East Palmdale Boulevard for gunshots.

The call was upgraded to multiple gunshot victims at the location and when deputies arrived at the scene, they found the three victims seated in two vehicles suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

News video from the scene showed a white sedan with bullet holes in the driver’s side window and a red SUV in front of a white trailer. All the vehicles were in a vacant lot strewn with tires near what appeared to be a storage lot for commercial trailers.
