(L.A.) Bevelyn Patrick, 62, Died at a Shelter

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 62-year-old Black female that occurred at a shelter.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Bevelyn Patrick.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Cocaine Toxicity

Other Significant Conditions: History of Congestive Heart Failure, Hypertension, and Diabetes

RIP BEVELYN PATRICK (July 29, 1962 – February 26, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 9:04 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 16, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
