Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 43-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in an abandoned building.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Bertha Garcia.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

RIP BERTHA GARCIA (March 9, 1980 – January 20, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 2:05 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on July 10, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.
