(L.A.) Benjamin Luis Hernandez, 35, Died in a Parking Lot

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 35-year-old Latino male that occurred in a parking lot.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Benjamin Luis Hernandez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Ethanol

RIP BENJAMIN LUIS HERNANDEZ (December 3, 1987 – May 22, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 9:46 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on November 11, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, substance overdose.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Luis Hernandez” in public records.
