Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a Caucasian female that occurred in a hospital.
The coroner’s office has identified the infant girl as Baby Girl B Semons.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death A: Intrauterine Fetal Demise
Cause of Death B: Placental Insufficiency
Other Significant Conditions: Methamphetamine Effects, Maternal Tobacco Use
RIP BABY GIRL B SEMONS (December 19, 2022 – December 19, 2022)
This is what’s called a stillbirth. It was classified as an accident instead of a natural death likely because it was the drugs and tobacco that are assumed to have precipitated the death.
It appears the decedent was a twin. Her sister was identified by the medical examiner as Baby Girl A. Both died on the same day.
