Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 50-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Azusena Barragan of North Hollywood. Born in L.A. County.

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

RIP AZUSENA “SUSIE” BARRAGAN (November 21, 1975 – April 12, 2026)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday.

The decedent and a male companion had just exited their vehicle on Colfax Avenue at around 2:25 a.m. when they were hit by the vehicle of a drunk driver.

Vidal Cruz was arrested at 3:35 a.m. and was booked by 11:38 that morning. He has been charged with two counts of murder.
