(L.A.) Azat Harutyunyan, 31, Died at a Homeless Shelter

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 31-year-old male that occurred at a homeless shelter facility.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Azat Harutyunyan.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Methamphetamine and Heroin

Other Significant Conditions: Medical History of Human Immunodeficiency Virus Infection

RIP AZAT HARUTYUNYAN (September 22, 1991 – June 13, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 10:09 a.m.

Ruling by the Department of Medical Examiner was published on March 27 the following year, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

The government investigator did not provide the decedent’s race/ethnicity. His surname is Armenian.
