Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 38-year-old male that occurred at a Metro train station in Lynwood.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Aurelio Martinez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Toxicity

RIP AURELIO MARTINEZ (September 18, 1984 – August 25, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 6:10 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 24, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
