(L.A.) Asya Armand, 44, Died From Cocaine Use

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 44-year-old Black female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Asya Armand.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Sudden Cardiac Dysfunction

Cause of Death B: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Diabetes Mellitus, Recent Cocaine Use

RIP ASYA ARMAND (November 10, 1980 – January 2, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 6:00 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on March 21, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
