The coroner’s office identified the woman as Ashley Scurlock.

Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Johnson.

Cause of Death : Pharyngeal Abscess

Other Significant Conditions : History of Chronic Alcohol and Methamphetamine Use

RIP ASHLEY SCURLOCK (September 19, 1991 – June 17, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday.

The Department of Medical Examiner initially ruled this a natural death. On August 19, they made public their determination t this death was from an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
