Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 30-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Arturo Huerta.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Anoxic Encephalopathy

Cause of Death B: Effects of Fentanyl (Clinical)

RIP ARTURO HUERTA (May 2, 1994 – September 9, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 6:54 p.m.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
