(L.A.) Arthur Madden, 56, Died on a Bike Path

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 56-year-old Black male that occurred on a bike path.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Arthur Madden.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

RIP ARTHUR MADDEN (May 13, 1968 – March 18, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 12:43 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-May, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
