Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a Latino male.
The coroner’s office identified the man as Armando Hernandez Garcia.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Head Trauma

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.
The Department of Medical Examiner gave the decedent’s age as 29.
His official obituary states he was 28 years old with a birth date of February 22, 1997.

LOCATION: Gunn Ave & Trumball St.
AREA/CITY: Whittier
DETAILS:
LA County Fire Department and CHP, Santa Fe Springs responded to a reported vehicle vs. a pedestrian.
When units arrived, they found a pedestrian down in the road.
The driver of the vehicle that hit the pedestrian remained on scene and was cooperating with police.
According to a witness, the pedestrian was crossing the street with another person in the crosswalk when the car hit them, throwing the victim about 75 feet.
According to the witness, the victim is a teenager but that has not been confirmed.
The victim was transported to a local area hospital with CPR in progress.
