(L.A.) Armando Coronado, 34, Died on the 605 Freeway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 34-year-old Latino male that occurred on the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway in Baldwin Park.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Armando Coronado of La Puente.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 2:25 a.m.

The decedent was killed when his motorcycle struck an attenuator on the freeway and overturned, propelling him into traffic lanes, where he was then hit by two cars.

The accident happened at 1:55 a.m. on the northbound 605 freeway, south of the San Bernardino (10) Freeway.

Coronado was driving a black 2018 Harley Davidson when it left the roadway, hit the buffer and was hurled into traffic lanes, where he was struck by a 2017 Honda and a 2015 Mercedes-Benz. He was killed in the crash and then run over by vehicles after he died.

Neither the woman driving the Honda nor the man driving the Mercedes was injured. The woman riding with him was also not hurt.
