(L.A.) April Montoya, 48, Died in a Riverbed

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 48-year-old Hispanic female whose lifeless body was found in a riverbed.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as April Montoya.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Acute Peritonitis

Cause of Death B: Perforated Gastric Ulcer

Other Significant Condition: Acute Methamphetamine Intoxication

RIP APRIL MONTOYA (October 3, 1970 – September 30, 2019)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 10:27 a.m.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
