(L.A.) Anthony Valentine, 32, Died at a Halfway House

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 32-year-old Latino male that occurred at a halfway house.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Anthony Valentine.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Other Significant Conditions: Dilated Cardiomyopathy, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Adenovirus (Nasopharyngeal), History of Chronic Tobacco Use

RIP ANTHONY DAVID VALENTINE (August 24, 1992 – April 12, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 6:06 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on June 2, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
