(L.A.) Anthony Martinez, 15, Died at a Chevron Gas Station

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 15-year-old Latino male that occurred at a Chevron gas station.
The coroner’s office identified the teenage boy as Anthony Martines [sic].
Manner of Death: Homicide
Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of the Chest

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.
The fundraising page spells the decedent’s surname as Martinez. The government investigator “Phi Le” spelled it as Martines.
This was a gang-related murder. The teen was a known member called “Dopey” of the 18th Street gang. He was with his friends in the area of Washington and Rimpau boulevards at around 10:45 p.m. when two suspects walked up to them and escalated a verbal dispute into a shooting.
