(L.A.) Anthony Cardenas, 26, Died From a Fentanyl OD

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 26-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Anthony Cardenas.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl Intoxication

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 12:35 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling in early January, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
