(L.A.) Antel Jones, 40, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 40-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Antel Jones.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Cocaine

RIP ANTEL JONES (January 11, 1985 – May 7, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 5:25 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 9, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
