(L.A.) Angel Flores Garcia, 2, Died From Fentanyl

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a two-year-old Latino male in Palmdale.

The coroner’s office identified the child as Angel Flores Garcia.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 6:09 p.m.

Deputies from the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station had been called at around 5:07 p.m. to the 800 block of East Avenue P-15, near Eighth Street East, regarding a rescue call. Upon their arrival, deputies discovered the unresponsive boy.

UPDATE: The boy’s mother Anaie Flores, 23, has been arrested on suspicion of causing the death of her son. In 2026, she pleaded no contest to child abuse resulting in death. She faces eight years in state prison.
