(L.A.) Amr Rasheed, 41, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 41-year-old male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Amr Rasheed and listed his race/ethnicity as Middle Eastern or North African.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Difluoroethane Intoxication

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 4, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive from the lab.

Inhalant abuse is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

The decedent was of Egyptian descent.
