(L.A.) Alwayne Ritchie, 33, Died on a Bench

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 33-year-old Black male that occurred on a bus bench or public bench.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Alwayne Ritchie.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

RIP ALWAYNE RITCHIE (December 19, 1989 – April 9, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 11:08 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in late August, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.
