(L.A.) Alicia Valenzuela, 45, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Alicia Valenzuela.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Myocardial Ischemia

Cause of Death B: Atherosclerotic and Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Morbid Obesity, Diabetes Mellitus, and the Consumption of Methamphetamine

RIP ALICIA VALENZUELA (July 31, 1979 – January 31, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 11:22 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 5, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

Note that the government investigator had initially given the decedent’s name as Alicia Valenzuela Jr. and the place of death as a sports center.
