Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 51-year-old Hispanic male.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Alfredo Sanchez.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 3:30 a.m.

This was a case of acute alcohol poisoning. The decedent drank too much over a short period of time.

Alcohol deaths are classified as accidents under the assumption that the drinkers didn’t intend to kill themselves. It’s akin to an accidental, i.e., unintentional, overdose.
