(L.A.) Alex Tranchina, 45, Died at a Freeway Transition

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a freeway transition.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Alex Tranchina.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 4:08 a.m.

Note that the deputy medical examiner entered the year of death into the government database as 2022 for the public record. A family member may have to contact the Medical Examiner’s office in order to correct this for legal purposes, such as on the document proof of death.

The decedent was fatally hit by a vehicle on a transition road from the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway to the westbound Ventura (101) Freeway in Sherman Oaks.

California Highway Patrol says they heard about the accident at 3:57 a.m.
