(L.A.) Agustin Rodriguez Valencia, 70, Died From a Meth OD

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 70-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Agustin Rodriguez Valencia.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine Toxicity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 8:11 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in late March, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

The government investigator had initially spelled the decedent’s forename as Augustin.
