(L.A.) Agustin Castaneda Garcia, 53, Died From Substance Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 53-year-old Latino male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Agustin Castaneda Garcia.

Cause of Death: Effects of Ethanol and Fluorofentanyl

RIP AGUSTIN CASTANEDA GARCIA (August 28, 1970 – July 29, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 7:30 a.m.

The government investigator had initially spelled the decedent’s forename as Agustine before later changing it to Agustin.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-October, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive from the lab.
