(L.A.) Abel Lopez, 33, Died in a Vehicle

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 33-year-old Latino male that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Abel Lopez.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wounds of Head

RIP ABEL LOPEZ (December 25, 1990 – February 23, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 11:47 p.m.

The decedent was fatally shot in the unincorporated Willowbrook area.

L.A. County Sheriff’s Department deputies from the Century Station were called at around 11:35 p.m. to the 11900 block of Willowbrook Avenue at East 119th Street where they found two victims with gunshot wounds. One was Lopez, deceased at the scene, and the other was a man who was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
