The decedent was a Marine Corps veteran and father of two who was shot dead while he was working for Uber.

According to a news release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, on Friday, March 24, at approximately 1:33 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a gunshot victim in the 2800 block of Imperial Highway. It was in a 7-Eleven parking lot in Lywood.

The spokesperson continued, “We banned the rider’s account and are working with police on their investigation.”
