(L.A.) Ramon Lopez, 44, Died in a Driveway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 44-year-old Hispanic male that occurred in a driveway.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Ramon Lopez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine Intoxication

Other Significant Condition: Cardiomegaly

This is considered an accidental drug overdose.

A severe complication of chronic methamphetamine abuse, meth cardiomegaly is characterized by irreversible structural and functional changes in the heart that eventually lead to decompensated heart tissue.

The development of methamphetamine-associated cardiomyopathy (MACM) represents a severe complication of chronic methamphetamine abuse.
