(L.A.) Christopher Burrous, 43, Died From Meth

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 43-year-old Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Christopher Burrous.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Methamphetamine Toxicity
Other Significant Condition: Hypertensive and Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 2:06 p.m.
This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
The decedent was a KTLA television news anchor. He was found unresponsive in a motel room.
Chris Burrous was found at a Days Inn in Glendale, in response to a call to authorities that a man in the room was possibly not breathing.
CPR was administered by first responders, but Burrous was pronounced dead after being transported to Glendale Adventist Medical Center.
The incident was reported by a man who was with Burrous at the time.
The man, who appeared to have been a friend, was trying to assist Burrous when first responders arrived.
There was no indication of suicide.
Burrous had been with KTLA since 2011.
