(L.A.) Yeghishe Avetisyan, 55, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 55-year-old Armenian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Yeghishe Avetisyan.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Multi-Organ Failure

Cause of Death B: Sepsis

Cause of Death C: Complications of Rubber Band Ligation of Hemorrhoid

RIP YEGHISHE AVETISYAN (February 1, 1962 – April 30, 2017)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 8:54 p.m.

Rubber Band Ligation is a medical procedure in which a small rubber band is placed around the base of an internal hemorrhoid. The goal is to cut off the blood supply to the hemorrhoid, causing it to shrink and eventually fall off.

Hemorrhoid banding is normally a minimally invasive outpatient procedure.

This was ruled a natural death by Dr. Wenxue Xing, the deputy medical examiner.
