(L.A.) Michael Chavez, 67, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 67-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Michael Chavez.

STATUS: The decedent’s body is ready to be released. Ruling by the deputy medical examiner is deferred pending additional investigation.

Manner and cause of death will be added to this page when it becomes available.

If the DME has ordered toxicological screening, the next public update may take five to eight months.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Michael Chavez” in public records. There was a person of that name who just passed away in June.
