(L.A.) Richard Brady, 48, Died in Pomona

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 48-year-old Latino male that occurred in the hallway of the Monterey Station Apartments in Pomona.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Richard Brady.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

RIP RICHARD BRADY (March 14, 1978 – June 18, 2026)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday afternoon.

The decedent was helping a 24-year-old female neighbor who was attempting to leave a relationship. Her boyfriend fired multiple rounds at both the girl and the decedent.

The suspect, 48-year-old Robert Galtman, led the California Highway Patrol (CHP) on a multi-county pursuit into the Antelope Valley before surrendering.
