(L.A.) S’veyah Yasin-Willard, 16, Died at a Private Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 16-year-old Black female that occurred at a private residence.

The coroner’s office identified the teenage girl as Svayeh Yasin-Willard.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Effects

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

The decedent had been missing from Lakewood since October 29, 2025. She had been the subject of a guardianship case in 2024.

Her body was found as a “Jane Doe” on November 11, 2025, in a residence that allowed short-term rentals of individual bedrooms in the 100 block of Dorsey Street.

She wasn’t identified until May 2026.
