Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 47-year-old male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Adrian Saavedra.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Complications of Thermal Injuries and Smoke Inhalation

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday.

The decedent apparently used an accelerant to set a house on fire in Montebello. He ended up killing his 50-year-old girlfriend Rosa Borquez Machado and her 13-year-old son Atiel.
