(L.A.) James Bourbeau, 35, Died at a Halfway House

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 35-year-old male that occurred at a halfway house.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as James Bourbeau and listed his race/ethnicity as Hispanic.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Toxicity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 10:49 p.m.
Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 30, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
Note that there are at least two decedents named “James Bourbeau” in the database. Both died in early 2023.
