(L.A.) Nancy Delatorre Resendiz, 35, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 35-year-old Hispanic female who passed away in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Nancy Delatorre Resendiz.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Sharp-Force Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday night.

The decedent had apparently been stabbed by her live-in boyfriend Sergio Jimenez in Sylmar.

LAPD conducted a welfare check at the Mountain View Manor Apartments in the 13800 block of Beaver Street and found the injured woman at around 9:15 p.m.

The suspect was taken into custody the following morning about three miles away from the scene of the crime after he had fled on foot.

LAPD’s narrative: Mission Patrol Division officers responded to an “Assault with a Deadly Weapon Cutting” radio call in the 13000 block of Dronfield Avenue.

Sergio Jimenez was booked for 187 PC-Murder, and his bail is set at $2 million. His booking number is 7216983.
