(L.A.) Nefi Lopez Gutierrez, 35, Died in NoHo

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 35-year-old Latino male that occurred on a street in in North Hollywood.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Nefi Lopez Gutierrez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday.

The decedent and a female companion had just exited their vehicle on Colfax Avenue at around 2:25 a.m. when they were hit by the vehicle of a drunk driver.

Vidal Cruz was arrested at 3:35 a.m. and was booked by 11:38 that morning. He has been charged with two counts of murder.
