(L.A.) Joe Varoz, 23, Ended His Life

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 23-year-old Latino male that occurred at the Oak Tree Gun Club in Newhall.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Joe Varoz of Norwalk.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Head

RIP JOE REUBEN VAROZ (February 10, 2023 – March 17, 2026)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday afternoon.

LASD responded to the 23100 block of Coltrane Avenue at around 3:00 p.m.

* In June 2023, Abel Valderrama Centeno, 21 years of age, took his own life in a similar way at the same shooting range.
