(L.A.) Rorm Sy, 62, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 62-year-old Asian male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Rorm Sy.

Height: 5 feet 8 inches / Weight: 180 pounds

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine and Phencyclidine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.

In 1996, a 33-year-old man by the name of Rorm Sy was arrested on charges of raping a neighbor’s 18-month-old daughter. This happened in Lowell, Massachusetts. News headlines referred to the crime as baby rape.

The decedent did have arrests in Southern California in recent years for trespassing and such. He was described by police as transient.
