The coroner’s office identified the man as Michael Chamu. Born in L.A. County.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 11:21 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 13, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
