(L.A.) Jahlani Newman, 23, Died in Palmdale

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 23-year-old Black male that occurred on a street.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Jahlani Newman.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt-Force Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday.

The decedent was driving a 2019 Audi RS 3 at a high rate of speed when he rear-ended a 2004 Scion xB.

Palmdale Sheriff’s Station said the incident happened at around 7:10 p.m. at the intersection of Rancho Vista Boulevard and Dunbar Street.

The driver of the Scion sustained major injuries and was transported to a local hospital by ambulance.
