(L.A.) Cory Spangler, 44, Died on New Year’s Day

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 44-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Cory Spangler.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Acute Cardiac Dysfunction

Cause of Death B: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

RIP CORY STEVEN SPANGLER (September 23, 1981 – January 1, 2026)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday.

The government investigator had initially spelled the decedent’s name as Corey.
