(L.A.) Jahkai Tony, 23, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 23-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Jahkai Tony.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Necrotizing Crescentic Glomerulonephritis

Cause of Death B: Anti-Neutrophil Cytoplasm Antibodies Associated Vasculitis

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday.

This was basically kidney disease.

That age is unusually young for ANCA-associated vasculitis with necrotizing crescentic glomerulonephritis, which typically strikes adults in their 60s-70s.
