(L.A.) Omar Rubalcaba Resendez, 38, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 38-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Omar Rubalcaba Resendez.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Laennec Cirrhosis

Other Significant Condition: History of Cardiac Malposition

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday.

Laënnec cirrhosis is primarily caused by excessive and chronic alcohol consumption.

Cardiac malposition means the heart is in an unusual position inside the chest. Normally, the heart sits on the left side of the chest with its tip pointing to the left. If the tip of the heart points in a different direction (such as to the right or straight forward), it is considered a cardiac malposition.

Note that the government investigator had initially given the decedent’s name as Omar Ruvalcaba Resendez.
