The coroner’s office identified the woman as Jeanette Garcia.

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday morning.

The decedent was pushing a shopping cart when she was hit by a Mercury Grand Marquis at the intersection of 20th Street East and Avenue S.
