(L.A.) Edrees Sarwarzad, 42, Ended His Life

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 42-year-old male that occurred in a public restroom.
The coroner’s office identified the man as Edrees Sarwarzad.
Manner of Death: Suicide
Cause of Death: Hanging

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday.
Loyola Marymount University had an incident on the morning of that day. An individual was found deceased on campus at the Von der Ahe (VDA) building. In a statement, LMU made the following clarification, “The individual was not a current or former student, faculty, or staff member, nor an alum of the University.”
The decedent may have been of Afghan origin.
